How to Shake It up Using the James Bond Roulette Strategy
It seems that MI6’s top spy doesn’t only have a license to kill, but also a license to play roulette. Welcome to the James Bond roulette strategy guide from Punt. It’s no secret that baccarat is 007’s favorite game, but when it comes to roulette, Bond’s got the moves, and we’re about to reveal them all.
What is the James Bond system?
The James Bond betting system doesn’t actually appear in any of the movies or novels from Ian Fleming – even though Fleming’s favorite casino game is said to be roulette. The strategy was simply named James Bond because let’s face it, Bond is the bomb, and this strategy seems to fit his style like a tux.
The name’s Bond, James Bond. What a legendary line! Many roulette strategies are used only on the outside bets for Even Chances betting positions such as Black/Red, Odd/Even, or 1-18/19-36 because of the favorable house edge on these bets and the simplicity they offer.
The James Bond strategy, however, will see you playing both inside and outside bets simultaneously. It’s one of the most exciting roulette strategies there are and may help you gain the upper hand when playing roulette. It will also give you a whole new perspective on the game. Ready to learn? Then let’s get to it.
How to use the James Bond roulette strategy
The James Bond system consists of 3 bets, with each bet requiring a certain amount of units. All 3 bets will cost you 20 units in total. So, if you’re playing $1 chips, that means you’ll be betting $20 per spin.
However, these 3 best cover exactly 1 third of the numbers, and each winning spin will see you gaining a profit, unlike some other strategies where you might break even, but minimize the risk.
To use the James Bond roulette strategy, you’ll start by placing 14 units on 19-36, 5 units on the 13-18 Six-Line bet, and 1 unit as a Straight-Up bet on Zero. Remember, James Bond is European, so stick with European roulette where there is only 1 green Zero. Here’s what your bets will look like on the layout with numbers bordered in yellow being your winning numbers.
How much can you win with the James Bond betting system? It depends on which of your 3 bets come up as the winner. The least amount of profit you can expect per spin is 8 units. The highest? Double that at 16 units profit per spin.
Payouts for each bet using the James Bond strategy in roulette:
- Zero – a Straight-Up bet pays 35 to 1. You’ll get to keep your 1 unit on Zero after being paid out leaving you with a profit of 16 units.
- 13-18 – each Six-Line unit pays 5 to 1. This means you’ll get paid out 25 units and keep your 5-unit bet giving you a profit of 10 units.
- 19-36 – Even Chances bets pay 1 to 1. Your 14 units on 19-36 will be doubled for a total of 28 units, securing a profit of 8 units.
Of course, if any numbers between 1 and 12 come up when using the James Bond roulette system, you’ll lose all your bets (20 units). But since you’re covering around 66.6% of the table layout, the odds are in your favor, to some extent, at least.
If you lose the first spin, you can either double the value of your units for the next spin to try and make up the loss instantly or ride it out at the same bet value and hope you land a few consecutive wins to even out.
